Everything you might want to know before you start logging.
Yes. Progress is free to start, with no credit card required. Additional premium tools are planned for the future, but the core workout tracker stays free.
You sign in with your Google account — no separate username or password to create or remember. One tap and you're in, synced across every device.
Yes. The core app is mobile-first for logging workouts in the gym, and desktop unlocks an additional Workout Builder for planning a full week at once on a bigger screen.
Progress is a web app, not a native download. Add it to your home screen from your phone's browser for an app-like icon and full-screen experience.
Yes. Your data is stored in Firebase under your account, and Firestore security rules restrict every read and write to your own user ID — no one else can access your workouts.
Yes, per set. You can log some sets in lb and others in kg within the same workout, and PR detection compares them correctly regardless of which unit you used.
Yes. You can export your entire workout history to CSV at any time — your data belongs to you, not just to the app.
Yes. Link two exercises together as a superset, or use a free-form circuit section for training that doesn't fit a rigid sets-and-reps grid.
The moment you check off a set that beats your previous best for that exercise, a PR badge appears automatically. It compares your full logged history for that exercise, normalized across units.
Only sets you've checked off count. Unchecked entries don't count toward PRs, streaks, or total volume — so you never get credit for a workout before you've actually done it.
Your streak counts consecutive days with at least one completed workout. A grace period means an unlogged "today" won't break yesterday's streak until the day is actually over.
Yes. One tap turns any workout into a clean, screenshot-ready recap card, including PRs, total volume, and milestones like your 50th or 100th logged workout.
